Launch Event: Strengthening Partner Europe!

Enhancing Europe’s ability to act through new partnerships | Wednesday, 10 December | 6 p.m. | Konrad-Adenauer-Forum | Berlin

The event will serve as the official launch of the BKHS Magazine #5 “Strengthening Partner Europe!”. We would like to share insights from this year’s edition and discuss arguments on how Europe can increase its ability to act in today’s rapidly shifting geopolitical context. The main claim in the magazine is that, for Europe, partnerships are not optional and that they make up “Europe’s path to strength and relevance in a contested world”. However, in which areas and with whom should Europe seek to build such new partnerships? How can Europe ensure they are durable, mutually beneficial and equitable? Must not Europe first implement reforms – economic, political and social – at home to be able to act effectively abroad? These are just a few of the questions we would like to discuss with the following panel of experts:

The panel will be moderated by Dr. Elisabeth Winter, Deputy Managing Director and Programme Director for Global Markets and Social Justice at the BKHS. Several authors will be in attendance to elaborate on their own contributions and participate in the discussion.

We would also like to extend to you the special opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the permanent exhibition in the Bundeskanzler-Adenauer-Haus, “Konrad Adenauer: The First Federal Chancellor”. The tour will take place before the event at 5.00 p.m. Please indicate when registering whether you wish to attend the guided tour.

10 December 2025, 6.00 - 8.00 p.m. (CET)
