Across the Pond – a podcast on the future of transatlantic relations

Spotify

In light of the United States’ withdrawal from multilateralism, can Europe help to create a fairer and more inclusive international order? In this first episode, presenters Verena Kahl and Dan Krause speak to Aude Darnal, founder and executive director of the Global South Policy Hub, about the shift in the global balance of power, a fundamental change in the role of the US, Europe’s credibility, and its relations with the Global South. They discuss climate justice, the unequal costs of the green transition, access to finance for sustainable development, and the need for reform of global governance. What would genuine partnerships beyond the traditional West look like, how would this affect transatlantic relations – and whose voices must finally be heard?
