Details on the accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of the Bundeskanzler-Helmut-Schmidt-Stiftung published at www.helmut-schmidt.de

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavour to make our website accessible in compliance with the national legal provisions implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This accessibility statement applies to the version of the website www.helmut-schmidt.de

that is currently available on the internet. The statement was created on 01/02/2023 and updated on 19/11/2025.

The most recent simplified review of our website with regard to BITV 2.0 was carried out on behalf of the Federal Monitoring Body for Accessibility of Information Technology on 8 October 2025. The result showed that, in some areas, the website still requires improvements to enable barrier-free use. We are currently implementing these improvements. We are planning a relaunch of our website in the first quarter of 2026. With this, we will implement the relevant measures and technical conditions to ensure that the site is accessible to all visitors. Until then, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding.

Conciliation procedure

If you encounter further problems for which no satisfactory solution can be found together with us, you can contact the conciliation body. Its role is to support out-of-court dispute resolution in conflicts concerning accessibility between persons with disabilities and public bodies. The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You do not need to engage legal counsel.

On the website of the conciliation body, you will find all relevant information. There you can read how a conciliation procedure works and how to submit a request for conciliation. You can also submit the request in Easy Language (Leichte Sprache) or in German Sign Language (Deutsche Gebärdensprache).
