Education and research

The Bundeskanzler-Helmut-Schmidt-Stiftung is a lively learning centre for democracy, history and politics in Hamburg. We offer a broad programme of workshops, guided tours, projects, city walks and games to school classes and teachers, adult education groups, members of the police and armed forces and all interested groups and individuals. In addition to our education and outreach activities in the Helmut-Schmidt-Forum, we also offer mobile learning. At the Helmut Schmidt-Archiv, the collections are being catalogued for the first time in accordance with archival standards and made available to researchers. All our educational and research services are free of charge.
