This guided tour of the exhibition “Schmidt! Living Democracy”, the focus is on key themes of the 1970s and 1980s: the oil crises, the debate on the “The Limits to Growth. A Report for the Club of Rome’s Project on the Predicament of Mankind”, new energy policies, and the emergence of the environmental and anti-nuclear movements.
Together, we will examine political decisions, social conflicts and the question of how these debates continue to shape our present day and what implications they have for democracy.
